    breaking the draft up is........

not good at all. killed the momentum for me. couldn't really get into round2&3 like past years. spreading the draft out over 3 days, I can't wait to see the results from the public.

I actually loved the fact that the first round went by rather quickly. The ratings beat the NBA playoffs last night. So the public as spoken...in a way.

Also, the second round was a little more exciting with all the trade rumors and such today. Nothing happened, but still it gives teams a chance to re-evaluate, discuss trades, etc.

    Not bad at all really.

I have no doubt the first round would be huge. it is breaking the 2nd and 3rd from it that lost momnetum and I can't wait to see how that shakes out. But I guess even if it falls 50% doesn't matter because you still have a 3rd day to pull numbers.

I like the new format, although I didn't get to watch much of the draft in prior years due to my work schedule. This year however, I watched the entire first round and most of the second and third. My only complaint: quit showing the draft pick on the cell phone before the commissioner announces the pick.

Better yet, quit putting up gay images of them in spandex and grays doing terrible fake punches, elbows, and etc.

Re: breaking the draft up is........

I'm fine with it being in prime time, but I hate it being made into three days. Friday night the first two rounds could be done, then 3-7 start sometime Saturday afternoon.

I imagine the first round sucked badly for fans of teams like the Ravens and Bears who had no picks or traded out. All that waiting for nothing...
